Zoey is a rescued pure bred black/white Border Collie.
After fostering Zoey for a couple months Ray Valadez adopted her from a Border Collie rescue organization in June of 2022. During her foster stage she was introduced to geese chasing and took to it almost immediately. After more evaluation and training she began working that Spring.
She enjoys her daily work routines and is excited to hop in the work car every morning. Although Zoey is a smaller dog (34 lbs.), she is fast, quick and agile. She has taken to training and the routines of working on geese very well.
Zoey is very friendly and enjoys taking daily walks with her family. At home she has her favorite toys and will most often be found curled up in her bed. She had a tough start with different shelters and rescue organizations and was returned by potential adopters a few times. Now she is adjusting to her permanent home and family, which includes a retired WGC dog named Keela.
Zoey works exclusively with Ray Valadez.
